SJTC: SECOND STAGE
Launched in the fall of 2000, the Saint John Theatre Company: Second
Stage provides theatrical opportunities for both new and experienced
members of the community through a balance of performance and
non-performance based events.
Second Stage is intended as both a stepping stone for people interested
in improving their theatre skills, as well as an opportunity for more
seasoned members to try new avenues, such as writing and directing.
Since its inception, Second Stage activities have included performances
of locally written one-act plays as well as full-length plays,
improvisational exercises, festive events, play readings, evenings of
monologues, acting and directing workshops, and the development of
local, original scripts.
